CHICAGO, IL — July 31, 2026 — Speak Now, a youth-led mental health organization, is officially launching its new Blog and monthly Newsletter! Built by and for youth and their communities, these platforms give us a space to express ourselves, connect with peers, and drive meaningful conversations around mental health.
Redefining the Youth Mental Health Space
The Speak Now Blog serves as a worldwide platform for youth-written content that will feature comprehensive mental health insights, personal stories, research reflections, and interviews while spotlighting the partners, community leaders, and advocates shaping the mental health space.
Navigating mental health as a young person can feel like speaking a language no one else understands. This blog bridges that gap. We’re putting authentic peer stories side-by-side with real research to create a space where youth can talk openly, process their reality, and realize they were never meant to carry it all on their own.
In today’s mental health landscape, young people are too often spoken about rather than spoken with. The Speak Now Blog reclaims this narrative by providing an authentic outlet for creative expression, honest opinion pieces, and lived-experience storytelling.
Expanding Opportunities for Young Writers
Currently, contribution access is open to all members of the Speak Now community—including chapter leaders, organization partners, and the executive team.
“By speaking on the common, yet heavily stigmatized mental health issues that youth face today, we humanize the research statistics,” said Rachel Vuong, Chief Marketing Officer of Speak Now. “By sharing the raw, uncensored stories behind the numbers, we make young people around the world feel heard and understood.”
To further amplify global youth voices, Speak Now will soon open pitch submissions to writers worldwide outside the organization. Detailed submission guidelines and editorial requirements will be announced in the coming weeks.
Stay Connected
Alongside our blog, the launch of Speak Now’s Monthly Newsletter will provide a unified hub for community updates, organization milestones, and upcoming opportunities (inside and outside of Speak Now), and curated blog highlights. It offers supporters, allies, and youth a direct way to follow the movement and support youth-led mental health initiatives.
Join and Build our Community
Real change relies on community support. Speak Now invites readers, student leaders, and advocates to engage with blog posts, leave thoughtful comments, share articles with peers, and help foster an encouraging environment where no young person feels alone in their mental health journey.
